Here's what some consumers are saying about Miss Camille's All-Purpose Seasoning :
"Growing up my mother always used fresh herbs and a mill to pulverize everything in. I just do not have the time and, honestly, the passion to do things as she did. Which is why I love your seasoning blend so much. It is a time saver that makes what I cook a whole lot better.
I really like the versatility of the blend...It is a wonderful base for just about any food profile that I want to create....Haitian tonight, Italian tomorrow."
"I love marinades and I love bold tastes. The seasonings bring back to mind the kitchen odors of old times."
" All up in my collards!!"
" I need some more so that I can keep up the facade that I can cook!!"
Seasoning making has been a tradition passed down through generations of the Toppin family line. Its roots reaching towards a quaint little village called Blanchisseuse on the Caribbean Island of Trinidad and Tobago, W.I and dating as far back as the early 1900s. My father told the story about how, when he was a young boy around the age of five or six, he would stand in the kitchen and watch his great-great-grandmother take fresh green herbs grown right in the family garden and grind them together to make a unique and savory blend that would then be used to prepare most of the family meals.
"Five generations later, I had now become the little one in the kitchen watching my dad make his seasoning - our entire kitchen being awakened with the aroma of fresh ginger, parsley and pimento. As I got older and had begun to cook for myself, I experimented with different herb and spice blends. After distributing sample jars to friends and family members, 'simply just because,' these blends quickly became popular among them. Everyone who tried it kept coming back for more. People would often say to me "You should market this!" or "When is this going to be on the store shelves?!" This was something I had never though of as it was always something I just did for my own use and convenience. One day, after having felt the the strain of several years of job furloughs and no salary increases, I figured maybe there was something to this. So I decided to give it a try." Thus the birth of Miss Camille's All-Purpose Seasoning, officially branded in 2013 - a subsidiary of Miss Camille's Enterprises, LLC. Miss Camille has a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Stony Brook University in NY, a Masters in Education from Queens College, NY and in November of 2014 Miss Camille received USDA and FDA certification for food processing through the University of Georgia.
"I hope to one day have a facility where I can feed and educate the community. I would love to teach other blooming entrepreneurs how to establish their own food businesses as well. We are all blessed to be a blessing."
